Who we are
Edward O'Kane grew up making things, piecing together Land Rovers rather than Lego bricks. By the age of seventeen, Edward was running a workshop in Cowes building racing yachts. He has since worked in various engineering and nautical businesses, developing and honing his skills. In 2014 he set up Inspiration Fabrication. At his workshop based in Sandford on the Isle of Wight, he leads a team of craftsman who take pride in doing things properly, sourcing as much as they can locally.
Our Focus
Together they focus primarily on metal-work, making dive-spreads, food-trucks, stainless steel verandas, boats, bridges and staircases. Everything Inspiration Fabrication does is bespoke, crafted around the needs of their customers. The Inspiration Fabrication team thinks anything is possible. If you have a bold project that you'd like to discuss, we'd love to hear from you.
Year’s of experience in marine infrastructure and metalwork

Sam Connelly, Director, MMC Diving Services
“We have been working with Inspiration Fabrication for the last six years. We started using him after MMC commissioned the build of a cylinder rack for one of our small vessels, we were so impressed with the quality and workmanship that this led onto the fitting out of two Ifor Williams box trailor conversions and followed on to the build of two coded dive vessels and a portable compact dive system in an aluminium case and then a containerised three diver IMCA compliant dive spread. All were built to comply with complex UK diving at work regulations.”
